ALBUM INSERT FROM "HISTORIAS DE LA CALLE DE ABAJO" (2015)

Recorded in September 2015, this ““Historias de la calle de abajo”” represents a vital and necessary Metamorphosis of a project that began in the throes of Miguel y los Hesputos Mutantes, Basureah, etc.

This time I tried in this second album of Nueve Tuercas, that all the concerns that marked the evolution of the previous works, (especially, a Progressive Rock marked by the compositional complexity over the instrumental "virtuosity", so linked to the genre) , are reflected in a short and concrete disc in terms of style.

Just half an hour, five songs, but the best of the creative shaker of all these months. This time the After-Punk and Urban Rock dyes are relegated to themes that develop urban, poetic, bucolic and even mystical stories ... with the spirit of Rock intact, keyboards much more present, balanced with sharp guitars and a strong rhythmic base , the voice as rude and soulless as always, although it is about intention, and ultimately: Songs to enjoy listening to them.

“Popurri para banda n° 1”, for example, is something instrumental never done in my entire career, an approach to Symphonic Rock, carefully arranged and consisting of a medley of the motives of the “Transición: viajes y sombras”.

Also "Amanecer de la Aurora" is a more pop theme but with the progression and changes throbbing during the sound and lyrical journey of this cut.

"Hijo del Barrio" is the great asset of the album an elongated single of great strength and catchy keyboard melody that marks the new style of Nueve Tuercas and the break with all the above.

“Popurri para banda nº2” is another effective and very funny demonstration of how to transform the musical past, and finally “El Quijote de la Avenida” is an unrepeatable fable of medieval and urban epic.

From now on, Nueve Tuercas calmly prepares the next assault. While it takes hold in the progressive, and in the search for band, the writing of an Opera-Rock called "Dentro de la guerra" begins

ALBUM INSERT FROM "A LA SOMBRA DEL ÁRBOL" (2018)

Third album of the Progressive Rock project, Nueve Tuercas

. "A grace of light has entered through my window"

After three years of silence, Nueve Tuercas returns to the fray with this new work entitled "A la sombra del Árbol", many things have changed since "Historias de la calle de Abajo”, and this production although integrates much of the past, is an incarnation fundamentally different.

"Under the Tree is our house and in my heart I always carry it"

To begin with, what has changed the most is the concept of disk. This is a cyclical work composed of 7 themes and in which the succession and relation of melodies are taken care of to the extreme, I do not try to give a concrete or descriptive concept, but to invite the listener to imagine as long as he lets himself be led and advised by the songs on this album.

"So that in the future it will be transmitted to my children"

The technical part in what leads to production, arrangements and final finishing has ended up being a qualitative leap once again for Nueve Tuercas and above all a reinvention of the spirit of the project that in coherent transition has integrated for the first time elements of folkloric Spanish music and a greater predominance of the electric guitar in front of the keyboard.

"The Moon looks at us and a howl of Dogs reaches all the houses"

The lyrics have also made an important change, because for the first time I reject the negative part of previous recordings, and my stay in Peru, where 80 percent of this work was composed, illuminated to a large extent the lyrical evocation that you can hear in "Versos al atardecer, "" A la sombra del Árbol "etc, as I say even on issues such as" No es un sueño "there is a great negative charge but it is solved integrally with verses like this one:

"Through your window while you see the sun, you give me peace my Father and Mother"

I hope and wish you all enjoy this new work, greetings.
